Autumn 1

Autumn 1

This term our topic is “All about me” where we will be learning about ourselves and those around us. We will be reading the books “I want my the back” and “Ferdie and the falling leaves”.

I want my hat back!

Day one of our story and we entered nursery to find posters everywhere for a missing hat! Upon reading our story we discovered a bear was missing his red and pointy hat.

To help find the hat, we each made a missing poster with pictures of the hat and a reward to anyone who found it. We also investigated shapes to find out what shape the hat was.

Super Learning Day

Our first super learning day was a big success with lots of exciting activities to promote our school values. Everybody took part in activities to go towards making a peace garden behind the Nursery. We made friendship flags inspired by Tibetan peace flags, planted pansys and other flowers to make it an inviting space as well as creating friendship flowers and going on a nature hunt!

We couldnt have managed to do so many wonderful things if it wasn’t for the support of our parent volunteers. Thank you again to all who helped make the day such a success.

Ferdie and the falling leaves

Ferdie the Fox loves his special tree, but when the leaves start to fall he is worried that something is wrong! As part of this story we will be learning all about autumn and talking about what is special to us.

Check out all of our exciting Autumn activities that took place as part of our learning through the story of Ferdie and Falling leaves. We went on nature hunts, explored colours and did lots of fun things with all the falling leaves.
