Our year 5 and 6 children took part in the annual cross country competition at Chorlton Park earlier this term, completing the 1.5km course. In blustery conditions both the boys' and girls' teams performed brilliantly. The boys qualified for the Manchester finals - well done boys!
The girls' Y5/6 football team have been taking part in their monthly competitions at Whalley Range. They have been improving each month and are playing like a real team now. They currently sit 2nd in their league and we are waiting for the results from the most recent round of matches where they won 3 and drew 2. Keep it up girls!
The Y5/6 boys' football team have made a great start to their league this year, with some brilliant results. They have played three matches so far, with the results shown below.
Chorlton 2 - 2 Our Lady's
Chorlton 7 - 4 Brookburn
Chorlton 5 - 4 Chorlton Park
It is a great squad this year and the boys are playing really well as team. The most recent game against Chorlton Park was a real thriller, complete with a last minute winner!
Cross Country Finals
Well done to the boys who took part in the cross country finals in November: Dylan, Freddie, Kipp, Stan, Isaac, Sammy. It was tough conditions and they all showed a great effort - we are very proud. Particular congratulations to Dylan in year 5 who WON! Amazing performance - well done Dylan!!
Year 2 Football Tournament
A huge congratulations to the year 2 children who took part in the football tournament at MCFC academy in October. The team played brilliantly and came through the group stages unbeaten. They scored countless goals and seemed to be unstoppable! They reached the finals but unfortunately due to poor organisation the tournament had to be finished early, so they were not able to play the final. Hopefully they will be able to go back later in the year and complete what they started! Well done guys!
