Year 2

Welcome to Year 2

I hope that you all had a restful Easter break and you are enjoying the lighter nights and pretty spring flowers. I can hardly believe we have arrived at the final term of the year. During the next few months we will help prepare the children for their transition to Year 3. We will talk about change and growing older and what this means in terms of school. Many of the children who have older siblings enjoy sharing these experiences with the class, but for those who don’t it provides a chance to discuss feelings about moving on and preparing ourselves for change.

This term we will be inspired by the topic ‘What is an island?’ This is a wonderful theme that provides plenty of opportunities for cross-curricular learning, working together and thinking creatively.

Please refer to the tabs below for weekly class updates, home learning, photographs and useful resources for you and your child.
