Swimming Gala

Our year 4 and 5 swimmers did amazingly well at the recent swimming gala. The girls squad finished 2nd overall and the boys squad finished 4th. This means both teams have qualified for the 'B' finals at Manchester Aquatics Centre in March. A fantastic effort and the third finals our sports teams have reached this year already. Keep it up and good luck!

Football Match

The boys' football team took on Chorlton Park in their first league fixture of the year. After a tough start the boys battled back brilliantly and showed real determination to keep going to the end. The first half finished 5 - 0 to Chorlton Park but the boys fought back in the second half for it to finish 5 - 2. Onwards and upwards!

Sportshall Athletics

Our year 5 and 6 athletes recently took part in the annual sportshall athletics competition at Loreto High School. It was a great competition with events such as the long jump, javelin, speed bounce, sprints and relays. Our team performed excellently in all events; we have some real speedsters at our school! A great effort by all involved, and thanks to the parents who came to support.

Tag Rugby

Our team performed amazingly well in some very tough conditions over two weeks. They have now qualified for the Manchester Finals which will take place in March. This is a competition we have done well in in the past and we look forward to competing again in March. Good luck team!

Cross Country

Our girls' team qualified for the Manchester finals, as did Zeno from Year 6 as an individual. The competitors took part in the finals in November in freezing conditions and each of them put in exceptional performances. Mia and Zeno have both qualified to represent Manchester in February - an amazing result. We look forward to that later in the year.

Swimming Finals

Having qualified for the finals, both the boys and girls took part in the Citywide finals at the Aquatic Centre in Manchester. There were some fantastic swimmers taking part and some great individual and team performances. Our girls' team had a fantastic competition, finishing 3rd overall! Great effort! The boys also performed really well, eventually finishing just outside of the medals in 4th. The teams for next year are looking very strong!

Tag Rugby Finals

Our tag-rubgy team took part in the Citywide finals, competing against 9 other schools. The level of competition was very high; an excellent example of primary sports in Manchester. The team battled hard in every game and should be very proud of the way they competed throughout. They eventually finished 9th overall which is a great achievement considering over 50 teams originally entered the competition. Well done team!
