Spring 1 Curriculum & Learning

Happy New Year! I hope you have had a lovely Christmas break and I would like to thank you all for my very generous gifts! I am very touched!

We are using C.S Lewis' classic text, 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' to inspire our writing this term.  We have written our own 'Portal Stories' and focused on creating a contrast in the setting descriptions from the mundane real world to the imaginary fantasy world.  The children have been wonderfully creative and I have absolutely loved reading their stories.

As part of our Ancient Greek topic we have also written non-chronological reports making use of diagrams, text boxes and bullet points.  We used books and the internet to research different parts of Greece such as climate, traditions, food and culture as well as places to visit.
